Monterey: "I want make-up."
Mom: "You have make-up on."
Mont: "I want my own make-up."
Mom: "Where did you get the make-up you have on?"
Mont: "I don't have make-up on."
Mom: "It is right there on your lips."
Mont: "I don't have lips."
Mom: "Yes you do."
Mont: "I don't have lips! I don't have lips! I don't have lips! I don't have lips! I don't have lips! I don't have lips! I don't have lips! I don't have lips!" (while throwing herself down on the ground, crying)I just had to capture this moment.

I guess these are the joys I miss out on by having boys. My youngest cries because I don't let him throw balls in the house, hopefully it is never over make-up. It is good to hear from you. -Jill Garns
That's really funny. No lips, yet there are smudges all over her face. Awe, the joys of being a mom to girls.
I used to think that all of this stuff was just a 'phase', but recently I have come to the conclusion tat this entire little age group of post-toddlers is something else. Something caused this. What do you think it was, the water? The air?? Hopefully their raw stubborness will come in quite handy some day. :) At least they are all absolutely adorable. Look at her face. Even crying she melts your heart.
Man oh man Lisa not only have your girls never been in a stroller or have never seen things now they don't have any lips...What else are you going to deprive them of?? This is way to funny. All I could do was laugh out loud. You let her know I can see her beautiful lips..
It's comforting to know that conversations like this go on in other households. Haven & I just go around in circles. Is it a phase? Or do we have little attorneys in our families? Does it last forever? But they're just so dang cute! (after the arguing!!) Monterey is so cute!
That picture is priceless. I love how you were also able to capture the conversation. That is too funny.
When Courtney and Lindsay were little Lindsay ran in crying and said Courtney kicked her. I asked Courtney and she issued a vehement denial. Lindsay insisted and wanted justice. I inquired again and Courtney fervently denied the accusation again! What is a mother to do? So I pull Courtney aside and tell her she better fess up and asked her again "Did you kick your sister?" She answered "NO! I just hit her with my foot!" I was laughing too hard to be mad. Poor Lindsay, just another injustice inflicted upon the middle child! ~ Linda
Oh, I love that. Mia likes to pull something similar with 'no potty, no potty, no potty'. . . as she pees on the floor. I think it's denial or guilt or BOTH. I love that you captured your moment. Mine's a little too messy. Gotta love little girls!
It's so great to know that I'm not alone.
